Vortex took the successful Spitfire Prism Scope, and redesigned it with a streamlined construction for reduced weight and lower profile. Designed with AR-platforms in mind, the Vortex Spitfire HD comes equipped with an advanced AR-BDC4 illuminated reticle with a 1 MOA center dot in the middle of an 18.85 MOA open circle for incredibly fast target acquisition. Directly below are four BDC subtensions allowing for accurate shooting at ranges up to 650 yards. The reticle has 12 illumination settings, 2 of which are night vision compatible. The reticle itself has been etched into the glass, allowing for the Spitfire Gen II to continue to function without illumination.

Topless – that's what this Optics calls the design of their M1 red dot sight because as you can see in the pictures, it lacks a top strap of the housing over the window. The advantage of this design is that it provides a less obstructed field of view which should result in faster target acquisition. That despite this open-top design, the M1 sight is still very robust because "the glass is very strong and the side bars make it just as strong as any other sight on the market".

This Optics M1 is a non-magnified open-emitter reflex sight available with 3-MOA dots of both red and green color options. The brightness level is selected via the two rubberized buttons located on either side of the housing. The sight is powered by a single CR1632 battery. The access to the battery compartment is from the top of the housing which will allow changing the battery without removing the sight from the firearms. The windage and elevation are adjustable within a 50 MOA range. It weighs in at one ounce and has the following dimensions: length – 1.6″; width – 1.3″; height – .8″, lens size – 24mm.
